Automobile manufacturer and distributor Truong Hai (Thaco) has just created a price "storm" for the two car brands Kia and Mazda in the Vietnamese market.
Accordingly, all customers who buy Kia and Mazda cars manufactured, assembled or distributed by Thaco in March 2015 will enjoy strong price incentives.
Specifically, Kia cars are eligible for price incentives ranging from 10-50 million VND, while Mazda cars are eligible for higher price incentives, ranging from 31-68 million VND. However, the price incentives will be applied to each region and not uniform across the market.
Thaco representative said that in addition to price incentives, the company also applies other incentive packages for customers such as Liberty insurance or customer care service vouchers.
Kia and Mazda are two brands that are considered to be quite successful in Vietnam. According to a report by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the total number of Kia cars sold in 2014 reached 11,212, an increase of 26% compared to 2013. Although the production volume was lower, reaching 9,438 cars, Mazda made even stronger progress with a growth rate of 131%.
The most popular Kia models today include the Morning, K3 and Sorento, while the best-selling Mazda models are the CX-5, BT-50 and Mazda6.
Also according to VAMA's report, total sales of passenger cars assembled and distributed by Thaco in 2014 reached nearly 21,000 units, an increase of 60% compared to 2013. In 2015, Thaco aims to achieve total sales of 30,000 passenger cars.
