Insurance and post office remove difficulties in making list of households participating in health insurance

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 7, an online conference was held in Hanoi with provinces and cities to evaluate the work of compiling a list of households participating in health insurance.

Comrades Nguyen Thi Minh - Deputy Minister, General Director of Vietnam Social Security and Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - General Director of Vietnam Post Corporation chaired the conference.At Nghe An bridge, Mr. Le Truong Giang - Director of Provincial Social Insurance and Ms. Bui Thi Minh - Director of Nghe An Provincial Post Office co-chaired the conference.

Also attending were representatives of a number of relevant departments and offices of the two provincial Post and Social Insurance sectors.

At the conference, representatives of Vietnam Social Security and the General Post Corporation reported on the results of implementing the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance and Decree No. 105/2014/ND-CP on the establishment of a list of subjects participating in health insurance. Accordingly, in addition to some localities doing well, the implementation process has encountered some problems regarding forms, ways to determine the rate of poor households, etc.

In Nghe An, by December 31, 2015, the Postal Service had imported software for 717,182 households/2,848,261 people, accounting for 93.7% of households and 92% of the province's population. By early 2016, this number had increased to 95.05% of households and 94.04% of the population.

In addition to the above positive results, the representative of Nghe An Social Insurance also raised some problems when the guidance documents of Vietnam Social Insurance were slow, some households lacked cooperation in declaration; families working far away had difficulty collecting information; many families declared too sketchy and inaccurately.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh and Mr. Le Truong Giang raised some difficulties and problems in the implementation process.

After receiving and listening to the reports from localities, Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh - Deputy Minister, General Director of Vietnam Social Security requested that localities should be resolute and proactive in removing difficulties and obstacles; make recommendations to local authorities at the grassroots level if there are real difficulties; agree to review the data to finalize the official report by March 15, 2016 to send to Vietnam Post Corporation.

On the side of Nghe An province, the leaders of the two branches of the provincial Social Insurance and the provincial Post Office agreed to have solutions to strongly urge units with low statistics and collection rates compared to the average of the province; focus on supplementing and updating missing declaration information; continue to investigate the remaining households to have the most complete information.
