According to experts, there are several ways that Ukrainians can transport Russian literary publications.
Book shipments can be split into individual parcels or by rail. Small quantities can be sent by courier companies or even by taxi drivers.
Thus, taking into account all the costs and risks associated with smuggling, Russian paper editions of books reaching Ukrainians will cost two to three times more, the newspaper noted.
"Replacing Russian books with Ukrainian ones is now very complicated, and their quantity is more limited. That is why book smuggling has increased. Besides, no one is afraid to fill the shelves with poor-quality "Russian books" printed in our printing houses," the newspaper quoted a saleswoman in a Kiev bookstore as saying.
