On the afternoon of March 17, the 2019 National Press Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Press: Innovation - Creativity - Responsibility - For the benefit of the country and the people" closed.

Attending the closing ceremony were comrades: Truong Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Nguyen Hoa Binh - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court. Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association emphasized: The 2019 National Press Festival was a great success, affirming the great role and strong development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, demonstrating the glorious but very heavy responsibility of the press towards the country and people; at the same time reflecting the deep concern of the Party, the State, the political system from the Central to the local level, the close connection between journalists and the press public...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 76 prizes for "Impressive and Outstanding Exhibition Booths"; 43 prizes for "Impressive Radio and Television Programs for the Lunar New Year 2019"; 20 prizes for "Beautiful Interface for Electronic Newspapers for the Lunar New Year 2019"; 76 prizes for "Beautiful Covers for Tet Newspapers"; 23 prizes for "Scientific Research and Journalism" and awarded 51 prizes for "Excellent Reportage on the Topic of Environment and Climate Change in 2018".

At the 2019 National Press Festival, the North Central Press cluster booth won the B prize. Nghe An Newspaper won the "Beautiful interface for electronic newspapers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2019" award; the work "Tracking environmental pollution hotspots" by author Dao Tuan (Nghe An Newspaper) won the Encouragement prize for "Excellent reportage on the topic of environment and climate change in 2018".

Nghe An Radio and Television Station has 2 works that were awarded the same prize “Impressive TV program award for the Lunar New Year”. Nghe An Labor Newspaper won the Encouragement Prize for the beautiful Tet newspaper cover.

The National Press Festival, which took place from March 15 to 17, attracted the participation of nearly 200 units including press agencies, 8 clusters of Journalists Associations of provinces and cities, and 9 local Journalists Associations with their own exhibition booths.
