Nghe An Newspaper donates breeding cows to poor household in Xieng My (Tuong Duong)

(Baonghean.vn) - On January 29, Nghe An Newspaper went to Xieng My commune (Tuong Duong) to present 3 breeding cows to poor households in Xieng My commune.

Three poor households received breeding cows, including Lang Van Quang in Dinh Tai village; Vi Van Xen in Pieng O village and Luong Van Nghe in Khe Quynh village, this is the commune that Nghe An Newspaper received support from, each cow is worth 15 million VND. In addition, to help raise awareness in animal husbandry, Nghe An Newspaper also supported each household with 1 million VND to build a barn; gave 12 breeding pigs to 6 poor households (each weighing over 12 kg). The total amount is 62 million VND. On this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper also separated 2 calves nearly 1 year old that the Newspaper gave last year for other households to raise.

After 3 years of Nghe An Newspaper donating cows to Xieng My commune, from the initial 4 cows, the herd has now produced 12 cows, contributing to helping poor households overcome hunger and reduce poverty.
