Nghe An Newspaper and businesses give Tet gifts to the poor in Quynh Nghia commune
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the call to support the poor to celebrate Tet by Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary - Ho Duc Phoc, on the morning of January 26, 2014, Nghe An Newspaper coordinated with a number of companies and enterprises to visit, wish a happy new year and give gifts to poor households in Quynh Nghia commune, Quynh Luu district. Attending the gift giving ceremony were representatives of the District Party Committee, People's Committee of Quynh Luu district and Quynh Nghia commune.
As a coastal commune, Quynh Nghia currently has 2,006 households with over 8,200 people. People's lives are mainly agricultural production, salt making and fishing.
The profession depends heavily on nature, so life and economy are still difficult. The whole commune has 87 poor households. To partially support the households in difficult circumstances to celebrate the Year of the Horse, on this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper, Central Region General Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Truong Thanh Company Limited, Duc Huy Production, Import-Export Company Limited (Vinh City); Phuong Hong Company Limited (Quynh Luu) organized a meeting and gave 76 gifts to poor households, each worth 500,000 VND and one gift worth 2 million VND to households with children affected by Agent Orange.
Nghe An Newspaper alone awarded 15 gifts, including 5 gifts from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the poor in Quynh Nghia commune.
