Da Nang Museum organizes the reception of more than 70 precious artifacts

On the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23), on November 22, Da Nang Museum held a ceremony to receive artifacts, documents, images... related to the history and culture of Da Nang, donated by people, agencies, units, associations, organizations, researchers, and collectors.

Among the more than 70 valuable artifacts received by Da Nang Museum, there are 22 war relics of those who participated in the two resistance wars against France and the US; 5 war relics; 6 national cultural artifacts; 23 antiques; a sketch by the late artist Do Toan...

Donated relics, artifacts, and documents will make an important contribution to historical research, supplement and complete collections, and enrich and diversify exhibition activities. Thereby, promoting and educating future generations to preserve and promote cultural heritages related to local history.

Currently, Da Nang Museum displays more than 2,500 documents, images, and artifacts on an area of ​​3,000 square meters, with main topics such as Da Nang's natural and social history; history of revolutionary struggles; war relics of the US military in Da Nang and surrounding areas; cultural characteristics of ethnic groups in Da Nang and Quang Nam.

On this occasion, Da Nang Museum also opened an exhibition of the personal art collection of collector Nguyen Ba Lan with the theme "Returning to the source." This is the first time that works by famous painters who have glorified Vietnamese art in the world have been introduced to the public such as Luong Xuan Nhi, Nguyen Duc Nung, Nguyen Tien Chung, Hoang Tich Chu, Do Dinh Hiep, Nguyen Sien, Nguyen Trung, Cao Ba Minh...; especially the rare works of famous painter Tran Van Tho.

The exhibition also introduces sketches and posters by famous artists such as Le Pho, Le Thi Luu, Vu Cao Dam, Mai Thu, Pham Thuc Chuong, Sekigughi, Diep Minh Chau.../.
