Nghe An Museum displays thousands of rare artifacts
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 17, Nghe An Museum in collaboration with the Lam River Antiquities Association opened and displayed the exhibition: "Nghe An from prehistoric times to the early days of nation building; the quintessence of Nghe An's antiquities".
Attending the event were comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of the Propaganda Department and a number of provincial agencies and departments.

The exhibition displays, thematically, introduces more than 300 original artifacts and many documentary images reflecting in a general way the traces of the life of primitive people - ancient Vietnamese people in Nghe An from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic to the Bronze and Metal Ages.

In addition, for the first time, Nghe An Museum announced and introduced a collection of Dong Son culture jewelry artifacts discovered by Nghe An Museum and the Institute of Archaeology through excavations in Lang Vac, Nghia Dan.

The exhibition Nghe An from prehistoric times to the early days of the country's founding, the quintessence of Nghe An's antiquities is one of many outstanding activities to celebrate the 126th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Sen Village Festival, International Museum Day and to celebrate the election day of the 14th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2016-2012 term.
The exhibition is open from May 17 to May 30.
