Military Region 4 Museum recognized as provincial tourist destination
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 20, the Military Region 4 Museum announced the decision to recognize the "Military Region 4 Museum" as a tourist destination by the People's Committee of Nghe An province and launched the "I love history" Club.
Also attending were Major General Phan Van Sy - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Political Department, Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism; Bui Cong Vinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, leaders of the Vietnam National Museum of History and representatives of a number of relevant departments and offices.

Museum of Military Region 4was established on December 22, 1966 and was one of the first museums established in the Socialist North during the war against America to save the country.
After nearly 60 years of construction and development, up to now, the Military Zone 4 Museum has collected, preserved and displayed more than 22,000 artifacts, images and documents with many rare and unique collections, contributing to vividly and deeply recreating the heroic traditions of the land and people of Zone 4.

In recent years, to be worthy of the historical and cultural values and revolutionary traditions, the Party Standing Committee, the Head of the Military Region Command, the Party Standing Committee, and the Political Department have paid attention to investing in upgrading and embellishing many works at the museum such as: the cultural work of Uncle Ho's Monument with the Military Region 4; upgrading the display system, campus, surrounding walls, landscape, and working environment for the Military Region Museum to become more and more spacious and impressive. Currently, each year, the Museum welcomes over 80,000 visitors to visit and study, leaving many good feelings and impressions.

With great efforts, since 1998, the Museum has been ranked as National Museum No. 2 by the Ministry of Culture and Information. In 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked the national historical relic "The memorial site of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Military Zone 4, June 15, 1957" in the Military Zone Museum. The People's Committee of Nghe An province also recognized the Military Zone 4 Museum as a provincial-level tourist destination.
At the ceremony to receive the decision, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Quang - Director of the Museum of Military Region 4 affirmed that this is an important event for the Museum of Military Region IV and is a motivation for the unit to better fulfill its functions and tasks, worthy of being a "red address" for traditional education, a tourist attraction in the province.

Promoting the tradition of the heroic and resilient land, the Military Region 4 Museum will make constant efforts to be worthy of being a place to preserve, conserve and promote the historical and cultural heritage of the Military Region's Armed Forces, contributing to educating the tradition and love of the homeland for compatriots, soldiers and people of all walks of life, becoming an attractive destination on the tourist map of Nghe An province in particular and the North Central region in general.

Also on this occasion, the Military Region 4 Museum launched the "I love history" Club, with many activities such as visiting exhibitions by theme, participating in experiential activities with games such as Following the history, Decoding crosswords, Secret journey, I practice being a soldier and Finding the unknown.
