The book "New Resistance Memorabilia" was born.
and introduce to readers

The book is divided into 4 parts: Part 1 is dedicated to the souvenirs given by Uncle Ho. In this part, readers will not only understand the origin of the souvenirs but also see the unparalleled spiritual values, which is the true and profound love of Uncle Ho for the soldiers and people of Military Zone 4. During the difficult days of resistance, in the moments when Uncle Ho returned to visit his hometown, he always had gifts to praise the fighting spirit and victory of the officers and soldiers of Military Zone 4 and to encourage and appreciate the people who loved their country and followed the revolution.

That is the story about the silk shirt that Uncle Ho gave to Mr. Nguyen Van Uy in Phuc Son commune, Anh Son on the first time he visited his hometown (June 1957). It is the story about the drinking cups with the words "The resistance will definitely win" and "Resolutely fulfill the mission" used by our soldiers in the Dien Bien Phu campaign (1954) and were given to the Museum by comrade Nguyen Dinh Huan, from Lien Son commune, Do Luong - a former pre-uprising cadre, a company commander of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. It is the story about the rotating award flag that Uncle Ho gave to Military Region 4, the portrait photo that he gave to the officers and soldiers of Con Co Island, the Zenith radio that Uncle Ho gave to Military Hospital 49.

Part 2 of the book is dedicated to the relics of the resistance war against the French: from "Uncle Ho's silver coins" produced in the safe area of the Thanh - Nghe - Tinh rear in the years 1946-1952, to the Bazooka-1 gun in the first 8 guns researched and produced by the military equipment army, or the treasures given to the Museum by the soldier worker Hoang Kinh, the medal of the historic Xuan Bo battle, the gun of hero Lam Uy, the relic of hero Nguyen Quoc Tri, the blood letter of comrade Quach Xuan Ky, the bottle lamp used in the times of carrying goods to Dien Bien by the frontline workers, the cargo bicycle of Cao Van Ty... Those relics, along with the stories told, clearly depict the feats, miracles and the hearts of the people of Military Zone 4 in the resistance war against the French.

Part 3 of the book is dedicated to introducing the relics of the resistance war against the US. These are the continuing stories about the feats, objects or simple weapons such as the basket, the broken carbine, the oar, the water canteen... that were attached to our army and people during the resistance war and from here created the victory. This part also has the relics of the soldiers' love through letters and diaries recorded on the battlefield. Through this, readers will learn more about the life, sacrifice, and bravery of hero Kan Lich, hero martyr Nguyen Viet Xuan, hero Le Van Ban, hero Duong Chi Uyen, heroine Le Thi Tuyet, heroine Tran Thi Buoi, hero Uong Xuan Ly, hero Doan Minh Nguyet, hero Ho Soi, hero Pham Van Lai... along with touching stories in letters of determination with a heavy heart for the Fatherland, a letter to the mother of Vo Thi Tan - one of the 10 girls who sacrificed at Dong Loc, binoculars of the Ngu Thuy Women's Artillery Company, a vase made from the wreckage of an American plane, a photo lying with the remains of a martyr...

The last part of the book is dedicated to the souvenirs in the implementation of the noble international duty. These are the gun of hero Le Thieu Uy, the gun of martyr Tran Danh Lu, the gun of volunteer soldier Dang Quoc Phien, the sticky rice tube of a Lao mother, the letter of the Acting Provincial Captain of Khammouane Province (Laos) sent to the sick soldiers of some units of Military Region 4 participating in treatment at the Noong Boc Forward Minor Surgery Station...

Through this, we can see more clearly a past historical period. During the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, the area of Military Region 4 was both the front line against the enemy and a solid rear. The Military Region's armed forces fought bravely with the people, providing manpower and resources to the battlefields, fulfilling their noble international duty.

Colonel Nguyen Cong Thanh - Director of the Museum, also a member of the Steering Committee and organizer of the book's content, said: "Resemblings of the Resistance War" hopes to be a practical and useful document on educating the patriotic and revolutionary traditions of our army and people for future generations. And hopefully when the book reaches readers, there will be many more relics of the resistance war that are being preserved by the people and will continue to be donated to the Museum to introduce and promote to the general public. From here, there will be volumes 2, 3... more books published.
