The Quy Chau Museum of Ethnic Culture was built in 1975, completed in 1976 and put into operation on September 2, 1979, located on an area of ​​about 2,000m2. This is a place to display artifacts and historical documents of ethnic minorities in the Northwest region of Nghe An and documents about the birth and activities of 3 mountainous districts: Quy Chau, Que Phong, Quy Hop (belonging to the old Quy District).

The museum currently has 373 artifacts and historical documents from the resistance war against France and the US. Of these, there are 41 scientific artifacts, 10 ceramic, porcelain, glass artifacts, 43 artifacts made of soil, stone, ore: 83 artifacts made of paper, 46 artifacts made of fabric, 57 artifacts made of wood; 71 artifacts made of metal; 6 artifacts made of bone, horn, ivory, leather; other artifacts are 16. The total number of mock-ups in the museum is 865 photos; there are 23 film episodes with more than 2,000 films. The museum is also a place to store documents and artifacts to help cadres, students, and students visit and research local history and ethnology in the mountainous region of Nghe An, models of stilt houses, writing of the Thai ethnic group...

Every year, the museum welcomes hundreds of visitors to visit, research and study. Currently, the Quy Chau Museum of Ethnic Cultures has been completely renovated and upgraded, including: Exhibition house, office building, campus, fence, gate. It also preserves 493 artifacts, bearing the national cultural identity and the formation and development process of ethnic minorities in the region.
