On September 10, the representative of Tien Phong newspaper's Board of Directors, Editor-in-Chief Le Xuan Son, sent a document to Mr. Truong Minh Tuan - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications (MIC) reporting on the handling of violations in publishing the article "Letter to Dad: The ward police officer comes to eat every day" on the Tam Guong page. Accordingly, the Editorial Board of Tien Phong newspaper decided:
Termination of contract and labor agreement, cessation of cooperation with TTN Editors and NN Collaborators
Regarding the individual in charge of the website, Mr. NTĐ, considering the shortcomings and violations, efforts, contributions, spirit and attitude of serious self-criticism, and willingness to take responsibility, the Editorial Board decided: To remove NTĐ from the position of Deputy Director of the Electronic Media Block, remove from the position of in charge of the electronic website Tam Guong, fine an additional amount equivalent to 10% of the amount that the Ministry of Information and Communications fined Tien Phong newspaper, and arrange other suitable work.
For the Editorial Secretary of NHT, remove him from the position of Editorial Secretary of the Mirror Page, and impose an additional fine equivalent to 5% of the fine imposed by the Ministry of Information and Communications on Tien Phong newspaper; and assign him to another suitable job.
Regarding the Mirror page, the Editorial Board of Tien Phong newspaper decided to temporarily stop publishing the page for a few days to rectify the content, reorganize the organization and personnel. In addition, the Editorial Board of Tien Phong newspaper also seriously reviewed responsibilities and learned from experience.
