Tien Phong Newspaper gives 100 million VND to Nguyen Anh Tuan's family
(Baonghean.vn) – Nguyen Anh Tuan (Hamlet 6A, Cat Van Commune – Thanh Chuong) died while saving two friends from drowning on July 19, 2015. To acknowledge his selflessness, many organizations, agencies, and units in the country and Nghe An province have donated to help his family.
On August 27, a delegation of organizations visited and presented gifts to the family. The delegation was led by Mr. Le Xuan Son - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, leaders of the Thanh Chuong district Party Committee and People's Committee, and representatives of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

Before that, at around 10am on July 19th at Gia ferry area, on Lam river, Nguyen Anh Tuan and Dang Hoang Anh, residing in hamlet 6A, along with Tran Cong Son (residing in hamlet 6B, Cat Van commune) went to Gia ferry area to catch snails, shrimps and fish. Discovering the two drowning, Nguyen Anh Tuan, regardless of the danger, swam out to save Dang Hoang Anh. After bringing Hoang Anh to shore, Tuan continued to jump in to save Tran Cong Son (5 years older than Tuan). But being weak and the water was rough, Tuan was drowned.

On July 24, Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union, came to respectfully present the “Brave Youth” badge to Tuan’s family. Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Le Xuan Son, presented 5 million VND to support Tuan’s mother.

At Thanh Chuong III High School, Nguyen Anh Tuan is a hard-working student, two years in a row he has been an excellent student. Moreover, he is also an active class officer who is always a role model in the school's extracurricular activities.
On August 27, through charitable funds and the support of Tien Phong newspaper, the delegation visited and gave gifts to Nguyen Anh Tuan's family including 100 million VND in cash and a TV.
