(Baonghean) - To educate about tradition and meet the expectations of many generations of cadres, party members and people in the Mon Son - Muong Qua (Con Cuong) area, on October 10, 2009, the Provincial People's Committee decided to approve the Project to preserve and restore the relic of the house of Mr. Vi Van Khang (first Secretary of the Mon Son Party Cell) in Mon Son commune.

This is the place where meetings were held to discuss the struggle plan; documents and leaflets of the Mon Son Party cell were printed during the early revolutionary struggle. The project was invested with over 8 billion VND and the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Con Cuong District Culture and Sports Center as the investor.

Due to lack of capital, after more than 2 years of construction, the project is still messy and untidy.

The project started in April 2010, including 2 main items: Mr. Vi Van Khang's house and the traditional house area. Up to now, after more than 2 years of construction, the project has only completed the site clearance and basically restored Mr. Vi Van Khang's stilt house. Another important item is the traditional house area, where the foundation is being constructed and materials are being gathered. Compared to the project's requirements, the construction progress is not guaranteed.

Meanwhile, Mon Son people are looking forward to the project being completed soon to arouse pride, promote historical traditions to create momentum to promote socio-economic development and build their homeland. In addition, Mon Son Party Cell is the first Party cell established in the mountainous districts of Western Nghe An, demonstrating the spread of the revolutionary movement under the leadership of the Party. Therefore, the meaning and value of the project does not stop within the Mon Son - Muong Qua area.

Discussing the construction progress of the project, Mr. Nguyen Huy Chuong - Director of the Con Cuong District Culture and Sports Center said: "Currently, the construction unit has completed nearly 60% of the work volume. However, the most difficult problem is the lack of funding. Up to now, the investment capital allocated is only 1.5/8 billion VND. Due to the lack of funding, the contractor has been slow in organizing the construction, leading to delays in progress."

It is thought that relevant departments and sectors need to create conditions to remove obstacles, especially funding sources, so that the Project to Preserve and Restore the House of Mr. Vi Van Khang in Mon Son Commune can be completed soon and its value can be promoted. That is also the wish of many generations of cadres, party members and local people.
