Within the framework of the exhibition "New archaeological discoveries in the central area of Thang Long Imperial Citadel from 2010 to present", one of the most notable treasures is the wooden seal Sac Menh Chi Bao of the Tran Dynasty, carved in the 7th year of Nguyen Phong (1257) under the reign of King Tran Thai Tong, which was used by the royal court in circulating state documents.
Besides, the "Can Tam Khi" sword of the Tran Dynasty, 13th-14th century, was also discovered in the Central Area of Thang Long Imperial Citadel. This sword has traces of carvings and patterns all plated with gold or silver. The sword belt is made of bronze, the sword hilt still has traces of wood.
In addition, there is also a set of three Ly Dynasty royal guard hats first discovered, dating back to around the 11th - 12th century. This is also the first time this type of precious relic has been discovered.
Also within the framework of the exhibition, there are other rare artifacts such as stone dragon railings from the Ly Dynasty in the 11th-12th century, wooden panels decorated with three dragon nests from the Tran Dynasty in the 13th-14th century, and wooden leaves decorated with dragon heads from the Ly Dynasty in the 11th-12th century.
The exhibition also introduces more than 150 newly discovered archaeological artifacts at several other locations also located in the Central Area of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - Hanoi from 2010 to present, such as 13th-14th century Tran Dynasty tiles, 14th century square bricks, cat statues, 12th century Ly Dynasty white glazed ceramics, or Dragon head statues decorating the roof corners of the Le Dynasty, 15th-17th centuries...
With the rare relics appearing in the exhibition, these are extremely important excavation results to contribute to a deeper understanding of the Thang Long Imperial Citadel heritage site, especially the archaeological values underground.
The artifacts selected for display this time are extremely typical and unique. These are the evidences for the symbols of power of the Royal Family in particular and of Dai Viet in general through the dynasties in the historical process of Dai Viet.
