After that, Dau and Long returned to China. On September 14, Dau returned to Vietnam from China and arranged to pick up the two girls in Vinh City, Nghe An and the three of them took a car from Nghe An to Mong Cai, Quang Ninh. Upon arrival, Dau called Deng Ri Xin to go to Po Hen to pick up and receive Thum and Thi. When the two subjects were taking the two girls across the border to China, they were caught red-handed by the Border Guard. What is noteworthy in this case is that the families of the subjects and the victims are siblings, Lu Thi Thum and Lu Thi Dau are the children of their uncle and aunt.
