Arrested 2 subjects impersonating traffic police

(Baonghean) -Vinh City Police have just arrested two people who impersonated traffic police to force traffic violators to "pay fines" in order to steal money.

At around 10:00 a.m. on March 14, the Traffic Police Team of Vinh City Police (Nghe An) received a report that two subjects were "on duty" on Dinh Cong Trang Street with many signs of lack of transparency, fining traffic violators but not writing receipts, and having a threatening attitude.

Upon receiving the report, the Traffic Police Department of Vinh City Police sent a working group to verify and discovered two young men in police uniforms, driving a motorbike with license plate 37N4-5547, fining three young men for not wearing helmets. When the subjects collected the fine, the working group immediately raided to inspect. Immediately after that, the two subjects and the vehicle were taken to headquarters.

Here, they confessed that they were Nguyen Dinh Truong Son (born 1989), residing in Duc Lap commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh and Dinh Van Thong (born 1988), residing in block 3, Hong Son ward, Vinh city. Son himself is unemployed, and has repeatedly invited his friends to impersonate police officers to fine traffic violators in order to steal money. Thong is currently a student at a university in Nghe An.

The incident is currently under investigation by the police.
