Arrested 2 subjects scammed by sending scratch card codes

(Baonghean.vn) -Nam Dan District Police have just investigated and arrested two subjects who appropriated property by sending mobile phone scratch card codes.

The subjects include: Pham Van Cong (born in 1990) and Pham Van Cuong (born in 1995), both residing in Hai Ha hamlet, Ky Lam commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh. Through the investigation, the subjects confessed that from June 2012 to present, they have committed 32 cases (in Nam Dan district and some other places) by using mobile phones to call mobile phone numbers to trick customers who have won a prize of 100 million VND and request them to pay the prize receiving fee by sending the mobile phone scratch card code. The amount of money the above subjects have appropriated is more than 60 million VND.

Currently, Nam Dan District Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
