Arrested 2 subjects transporting and possessing 1,200 drug pills

Recently, in the market town of Con, bordering the four communes of Thanh Luong, Thanh Duong, Thanh Khai, Thanh Yen (Thanh Chuong), a number of people have appeared who regularly use synthetic drugs in the form of pink pills, causing panic among the people.

On March 26, 2018, Thanh Chuong District Police directed the establishment of project "318H".

After a period of applying professional measures, the Task Force identified Nguyen Van Duc (born in 1982), residing in Hung Chinh Commune, Vinh City, as the subject who regularly supplied drugs to sell to addicts.

At 5:30 p.m. on April 3, 2018, the Task Force deployed forces and planned to arrest Nguyen Van Duc red-handed, when he was in possession of 200 ecstasy pills.

From the expanded investigation, the Special Investigation Committee identified another subject, Pham Dinh Dung (born in 1983), residing in Lien Tan hamlet, Bong Khe commune, Con Cuong district, as the subject supplying drugs to Nguyen Van Duc.

At 8:00 p.m. the same day, the Task Force organized a plan to catch Pham Dinh Dung red-handed while he was transporting drugs to Thanh Chuong district for consumption.

Evidence seized from Pham Dinh Dung was 1,000 synthetic drug pills.

The investigation is currently continuing.
