After a period of active monitoring and synchronous use of professional measures, the authorities determined that at 5:00 p.m. on February 12, 2025, Bounhak SonLi Nhong (born in 1981), residing in Vientiane Capital (Lao PDR), entered from Xieng Khouang province to Nghe An through Nam Can International Border Gate with the role of receiving "goods" with the above method.

Judging that the opportunity was "ripe", at 3:00 a.m. on February 14, 2025, in Muong Xen town, Ky Son district, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department coordinated with Ky Son district police, Nam Can Border Guard Station, Nam Can Customs Sub-Department to arrest Bounhak SonLi Nhong and L.D.Q. (born in 1998), residing in Son Kim 1 commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province for illegally buying, selling and transporting drugs, seizing 30 kg of crystal meth and 1 car with license plate 38A-65857.

The unit has transferred the subjects to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency safely and continues to fight and expand the project.
