Arrested 3 suspects who shot dead a young man from Nghe An

On the morning of March 28, the leader of Son Ha district (Quang Ngai) said that at around 9:15 a.m., information from the scene said that the forces had captured two suspects who shot and killed someone while both were hiding in the mountainous area of ​​Son Ba commune (Son Ha district).

This person also provided the identity of the suspect arrested on the afternoon of March 27, Nguyen Van Nam (31 years old, residing in Duc Hop commune, Kim Dong district, Hung Yen).

Information about the suspect's initial statement to the investigation agency is still being kept confidential to serve the investigation and capture of the remaining suspects.

According to this leader, last night, the investigation agency and local forces with more than 100 people stayed up all night, blocking all entrances and exits to the mountain area where at least two suspects were hiding.

This morning, the search force was reinforced and search dogs were deployed, going deep into the mountains to search for the suspects.

According to the assessment, it is likely that these subjects carry guns to fight back and are very dangerous. Son Ha district has also issued a document, notifying the authorities, police, and military agencies of communes and towns in the neighboring area to organize continuous blockades everywhere.

At the same time, inform local people to report to the investigation agency if suspicious strangers are found in this village or mountainous area.

"The commune government had to instruct people to stay away from this mountain area to avoid danger," said this leader.

On the same morning, Son Ha district was still working with relevant agencies to organize meetings and issue documents directing all parties to coordinate in capturing the subject.

Previously, at around 11:00 a.m. on March 27, Nguyen Manh Cuong (30 years old, residing in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An province) and his friend Le Van Xuan (36 years old, also residing in Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) were playing billiards at Khai Son restaurant (72 Le Quy Don, Kon Tum city) when some strangers broke into the restaurant and shot them multiple times with guns, causing Cuong to die in front of the restaurant and Xuan to be injured and had to be taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

After receiving the report, Kon Tum Provincial Police directed professional departments to coordinate with relevant units to investigate the perpetrator, examine the scene, and perform an autopsy.

Through initial investigation, witnesses heard 4 gunshots, police also found 3 bullet shells in front of the store and 1 bullet shell on the street.

After committing the crime, the group immediately left the scene. Quang Ngai Provincial Police set up checkpoints at intersections leading from Kon Tum Province to Quang Ngai to prevent the suspects from escaping Kon Tum via National Highway 24.

As expected, on the same afternoon, the checkpoint force in Son Ha district discovered a red pickup truck with suspicious signs and asked it to stop.

The car turned around and ran away, then slid down the roadside. The police arrested the suspect Nam shortly afterwards. At least two suspects fled into the mountains.

Police also discovered guns and grenades left behind when the suspects fled.
