Start voting for National Assembly and People's Council deputies

In this election, more than 62 million voters nationwide will go to the polls to elect 500 National Assembly deputies and 301,954 People's Council deputies at all levels. Of the 827 candidates for the 13th National Assembly (including 182 central and 645 local candidates), there are 260 women, 133 ethnic minorities, 118 non-Party members, 183 re-elected XII National Assembly deputies, 183 young people (under 40 years old), and 15 self-nominated candidates. In terms of qualifications, 304 people have a post-graduate degree; 492 people have a university degree; 31 people have a college degree or lower.
Among the 5,965 candidates for provincial People's Council deputies, there are 2,052 women, 1,146 ethnic minorities, 1,211 young people, and 872 non-Party members.
In 14 provinces and cities nationwide, 25 people have run for provincial People's Council deputies. Voters will cast ballots to elect 3,832 provincial People's Council deputies.
The election of deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term will end at 7:00 p.m. the same day./.
