Captured wanted suspect after 4 years on the run

(Baonghean.vn) -On December 14, Quy Chau District Police arrested wanted suspect Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1988, residing in Thanh Tan village, Chau Nga commune, Quy Chau) to investigate and clarify the act of "intentionally causing injury".

Previously, at 10:00 p.m. on December 10, 2008, Vi Van Liem and Vi Van Lang (both residing in Ke Khun village, Chau Hoi commune, Quy Chau) rode a motorbike from Hoi 1 village home. When they arrived at Doc Na Hoc (Khun village, Chau Hoi commune), they met Ha Tuan Anh (residing in Thanh Tan village, Chau Nga commune, Quy Chau) and Nguyen Xuan Phuong (residing in Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town) riding a motorbike. Immediately, Ha Tuan Anh used a knife to slash Vi Van Liem's ​​head, back and forearm, while Phuong used a knife to slash the gas tank and the two front wheels of Liem's ​​motorbike. Liem collapsed on the spot, and the two subjects got on the motorbike and escaped. Liem was then taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Ha Tuan Anh then fled and disappeared. On March 3, 2009, the Investigation Police Agency of Quy Chau District Police issued a wanted warrant for Ha Tuan Anh.

Quy Chau District Police received information that Ha Tuan Anh appeared at his parents' house in Chau Nga Commune (Quy Chau District). After more than 3 days and nights of sleeping in the forest and wading through streams to follow the subject, at exactly 9:45 p.m. on December 11, when Ha Tuan Anh and a group of workers were sitting on a tractor carrying timber in Dong Tien Village (Dong Van Commune, Que Phong District), the police stopped the vehicle, knocked down and handcuffed the subject.

Currently, suspect Ha Tuan Anh is being detained by Quy Chau District Police to investigate the act of "intentionally causing injury".
