Arrest of foreigner wanted by Interpol
The subject confessed that in 2017 he fled Russia and went to Turkey, Thailand, and Cambodia as a tourist. While entering Vietnam, he was arrested by the Border Guard.
On May 29, the Lao Bao International Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Border Guard, in coordination with the Investigation Police Agency and Quang Tri Provincial Police, arrested a foreigner who was wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

Specifically, at around 12 noon on May 27, Gavrilov Inor (Russian nationality, born in 1990, using passport number 752645715) showed suspicious signs when completing entry procedures from Laos to Vietnam.
Procedure officers at the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Border Guard, checked Gavrilov Inor's passport and discovered that the Interpol system had warned him of a wanted person related to drugs.
Lao Bao International Border Guard Station coordinated with the Quang Tri Provincial Police Investigation Agency to expand the investigation and verification, discovering that the subject is currently wanted by Interpol for illegal possession and use of narcotics; and has been detained by the Central District Court of Kaliningrad City (Russia).
At the investigation agency, the subject confessed that in 2017 he had fled Russia, to Turkey, Thailand, and Cambodia as a tourist. While entering Vietnam, he was arrested by the Border Guard.
Currently, the subject has been transferred to Quang Tri Provincial Police for handling according to the law.
