Arrest of drug possession and transport of goods without documents

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 1, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, Nghe An province announced that it had just caught a case of transporting goods without documents with the quantity of nearly 1,800 tubes of toothpaste, 500kg of MSG and arrested a subject for illegal drug possession.

Specifically, at around 11:30 p.m. on July 30, at km480 on National Highway 1A through Dien Chau district, Nghe An, the patrol team (Dien Chau Traffic Police Station, under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province) discovered two cars with license plates: 38N - 5507 driven by Nguyen Dinh Toan (born in 1974) and a car with license plates: 38B - 002.89 driven by Nguyen Van Y (born in 1981), both residing in Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh), showing suspicious signs.

Seized 38 boxes of toothpaste containing about 1,800 tubes without documents

Immediately, the Working Group requested to stop the vehicle for inspection. During the inspection, it was discovered that in the two vehicles there were a quantity of goods including 38 boxes of toothpaste (nearly 1,800 tubes), 500kg of MSG worth over 50 million VND.

At the time of inspection, both drivers could not present valid documents and invoices. The task force requested the drivers to return to the station for processing. On the morning of July 31, the market management force received and processed the goods according to regulations.

Number of toothpaste and MSG produced in Thailand

It is known that this batch of goods, produced in Thailand, was being transported to Hanoi when they were arrested. The owner of the shipment is Ms. Le Thi Van, residing in Block 3, Huong Son Town, Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province.

Previously, at 8:30 p.m. the same day, the Task Force led by Lieutenant Colonel Le Hong Son arrested a subject possessing 0.5 grams of heroin.

Specifically, receiving information from the people at km411, National Highway 1A, passing through Dien Yen Commune (Dien Chau District), there was a subject walking with drugs for use. The working group proceeded to verify and discovered a subject as the information provided by the people. Through inspection, it was discovered that this subject contained 2 packages of white powder, which were verified to be heroin weighing 0.5 grams.

Through investigation, the subject confessed that Ho Thuc Hoa (born in 1982), residing in Quynh Hau commune, Quynh Luu district, bought two packages of heroin and was about to use it when he was arrested by the police. The subject has been handed over to Dien Chau district police for temporary detention and further investigation./.
