(Baonghean.vn) -On August 14th, the Fugitive Apprehension Team of the Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police arrested a female fugitive wanted for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.
After a period of surveillance and verification of the suspect's whereabouts, the Fugitive Apprehension Team of the Criminal Fugitive Apprehension Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police identified Duong Thi Trang, born in 1977, residing in Giai Xuan commune, Tan Ky district, Nghe An province, who was hiding in Xuan An town, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province. On the morning of August 14, 2013, the team planned and successfully apprehended Duong Thi Trang.

During questioning at the investigative agency, Trang confessed to having illegally trafficked narcotics four times and had been sentenced to nine years in prison by the Vinh City People's Court three times previously. On the fourth occasion, on April 24, 2013, on Bach Lieu Street, Ben Thuy Ward (Vinh City), Duong Thi Trang was caught red-handed by Vinh City police while illegally trafficking narcotics with Nguyen Thi Thao, born in 1991, residing in Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City. Two packets of heroin were seized from her. Because she was raising a young child under 36 months old, Trang was released on bail pending trial and subsequently fled the area. This female criminal is very cunning and frequently changes her residence, making her apprehended.
Authorities are currently finalizing the case file to bring the suspect to justice.
