Capture of wanted suspect hiding for 1 year in deep forest in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn)- Receiving a tip-off that a wanted suspect had returned home after more than a year of hiding in the deep forest, Con Cuong district police...(Nghe An)ambushed and captured.

At about 8:55 a.m. on October 24, Con Cuong District Police urgently arrested Ha Van Toan (also known as Ton), born in 1977, residing in Yen Village, Mon Son Commune (Con Cuong) for the crime of illegal drug trafficking.

Before that, at about 12:40 pm on May 26, 2016, Ha Toan went to Xop Mat village, Luong Minh commune (Tuong Duong) to buy drugs to sell to Ha Van Duy and Ha Van Thanh in Nam Son village, Mon Son commune (Con Cuong) for 400,000 VND, equivalent to 0.15 grams of heroin.

The two subjects were caught red-handed while using drugs. An emergency arrest warrant for Ha Van Toan was issued immediately after. However, Toan quickly escaped.

After more than a year of hiding from a wanted warrant in the deep forest, on October 24, Toan returned home to visit and was immediately ambushed and arrested by Con Cuong police./.
