Arrested for transporting 1,600 drug pills from Laos to Vietnam
The Border Guard Command of Dien Bien province has just arrested a subject illegally transporting 1,600 synthetic drug pills from Laos to Vietnam for consumption.

At 11:40 a.m. on June 25, while coordinating a mission in the Hat He village area, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district, officers and soldiers of the Drug and Crime Prevention Department, Dien Bien Provincial Border Guard Command and Muong Nha Border Guard Station (Dien Bien) discovered a suspect riding a motorbike with many suspicious signs.
During the inspection, the authorities seized 8 blue packages containing 1,600 synthetic drug pills, along with 1 mobile phone and 1 motorbike.
At the investigation agency, the subject was identified as Luong Van Dung (born in 1980, permanent resident of Na Sang 2 village, Nua Ngam commune, Dien Bien district).
Dung confessed that he bought the above drugs from Laos and was on his way to Vietnam to sell them when he was discovered and arrested.
The case is currently under investigation by the authorities./.
