Arrest of a subject transporting synthetic drugs from Laos to Vietnam

At 8:00 a.m. on June 1, at Km 142, National Highway 12A in the Cha Lo International Border Gate area, the Quang Binh Provincial Border Guard force in coordination with the provincial customs force successfully broke up a case of transporting 600 synthetic drug pills from Laos to Vietnam.

The drug trafficker arrested in this case is commonly known as Son, 22 years old, residing in Khi Lec village, Nhom Ma Lat district, Khammouane province (Laos). In addition to the drugs arrested, the authorities also seized a black Wave motorbike without a license plate, 260,000 Lao kip and a mobile phone.

Through initial investigation, Son confessed to transporting drugs across the border to sell to several other subjects from Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

Because the criminals were very sophisticated and cunning, the border guards of Quang Binh province spent a lot of time monitoring and ambushing to solve this case.
