Arrest of Director of Department of Finance Le Duy Minh
Mr. Le Duy Minh - was prosecuted and temporarily detained on charges of receiving bribes.
Lieutenant General To An Xo, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security, confirmed: The Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency is handling and investigating the case of Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing loss and waste; Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences; Giving bribes; Receiving bribes; Taking advantage of positions and powers to influence others for personal gain occurring at Xuyen Viet Oil Trading, Transport and Tourism Company Limited and a number of related agencies and organizations.
Mr. Le Duy Minh - former Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department (now Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance), was accused of being involved in the case at Xuyen Viet Oil Company.
On December 19, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency issued a decisionprosecute, an arrest warrant for temporary detention, a search warrant for Mr. Le Duy Minh's residence to investigate the crime of Receiving bribes as prescribed in Article 354 of the Penal Code.
After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved, the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency served the decision to prosecute the accused, executed the arrest warrant for temporary detention, and searched the residence and workplace of the accused Le Duy Minh.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by the Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency for handling according to regulations.
