Seized 28 cartons of eggs and quail meat of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of March 13, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with Dien Chau Traffic Police Station to arrest a passenger bus and confiscate 28 cartons of quail eggs and frozen quail meat of unknown origin.

At around 02:25 on March 13, upon receiving a report that a passenger van (license plate KS 19B 000.83) driven by To Ngoc Quang (born in 1975, permanent resident of Do Son, Thanh Ba, Phu Tho) traveling from Vinh to Hanoi was transporting meat and quail eggs of unknown origin, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with Dien Chau Traffic Police Station to immediately inspect the vehicle.

Upon inspection, the vehicle contained 12 boxes of chilled quail weighing 600kg and 16 boxes containing 16,000 quail eggs. It is worth noting that the entire quantity of chilled quail meat had a foul odor. The vehicle owner admitted to transporting it for a known customer from Tri An district, Dong Nai province to Vinh Phuc. Upon inspection, all of the above goods had no documents proving their origin and no quarantine certificate from the authorities. Market Management Team No. 1 made a record of the seizure and handed it over to Dien Chau veterinary station for disposal.
