On the evening of August 20, information from the Investigation Police Agency, Sam Son City Police (Thanh Hoa) said that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and temporarily detain 4 subjects in the ring of renting self-driving cars and then forging documents to sell or mortgage to appropriate property...
4 subjects were prosecuted and temporarily detained by the Investigation Police Agency, Sam Son City Police for the crimes of "Fraudulent appropriation of property,"“Forgery of seals and documents of agencies and organizations" and "Using fake seals and documents of agencies and organizations," including Truong Thi Thuy (born in 1991) and Dinh Van Cuong (born in 1981), both residing in Hoang Dat commune, Hoang Hoa district; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (born in 1990), residing in Lam Son ward; Nguyen Thi Hang (born in 1989), residing in Truong Thi ward, Thanh Hoa city.
Searching the residence of Dinh Van Cuong, the subject who forged vehicle documents, identity cards, citizen identification cards, etc., Sam Son City Police seized 1 scanner, 1 color printer, and many fake seals and documents of organizations and individuals.
According to initial investigation results, due to debt, the subjects Truong Thi Thuy, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and Nguyen Thi Hang pretended to be "businesswomen" and "real estate CEOs" to rent self-driving cars, then colluded with Dinh Van Cuong to forge documents to pawn or sell the cars and then appropriate the money.
Typically, from April to June 2024, Thuy, Hang, and Ha went to Mr. LVC's house in Bac Son ward, Sam Son city to rent 2 self-driving cars, then contacted Dinh Viet Cuong to forge 2 sets of vehicle documents for these 2 cars, mortgaged them, and sold them in Hoang Hoa district to split the money.
After the rental period expired and the subjects did not return the car, Mr. LVC was shocked and went to look for the "beautiful women" and found out that he had been scammed by the "beautiful women", so he went to the police station to report the incident.
Immediately after receiving the victim's report, Sam Son City Police quickly verified, investigated, clarified, arrested the above subjects, recovered the property and returned it to the victim.
The case is being further investigated and expanded by the authorities./.
