Arrested 8 subjects transporting nearly 200kg of drugs from Laos to Vietnam
While transporting nearly 200kg of drugs from Laos to Vietnam, when arriving at Nam Giang International Border Gate, a group of 8 subjects were discovered and arrested by authorities.
On May 30, the Border Guard of Quang Nam province announced that it had just dismantled the largest drug trafficking and transportation ring in the area to date.

Previously, at 11:20 a.m. on May 26, at the Nam Giang International Border Gate area (Quang Nam), the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard force coordinated with the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) and the Border Gate Department (Vietnam Border Guard Command) to discover and arrest a vehicle and 8 subjects transporting 198 kg of drugs from Laos to Vietnam.

This amount of drugs includes 44 heroin cakes and 181.75 kg of various drugs.
Currently, the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard is coordinating with relevant agencies to continue investigating, verifying, and consolidating records, documents, and evidence to handle the case according to regulations.
