Arrest of subject stealing telecommunication cables

(Baonghean.vn) - At 8:00 a.m. on January 14, the Criminal Investigation and Social Order Police Team - Quynh Luu District Police caught two subjects red-handed transporting a quantity of copper wire, the type of telecommunication cable that had just been stolen and taken away for sale.

According to Quynh Luu District Police, on the evening of January 13, some residents in Hamlet 16, Quynh Van Commune discovered that criminals were setting fire to many sections of telecommunication cables that they had stolen to get the copper core inside. Immediately after that, the residents quickly reported the incident to the local police to take measures to prevent and handle the case. After burning the telecommunication cables to get the copper core inside, they fled the scene with the evidence.

Two subjects Hung and Hoang with evidence

At the scene, more than 50 meters of telecommunication cable in Quynh Van commune were stolen, causing tens of millions of dong in damage. After verifying information from the people, Quynh Luu district police followed and closely followed the subjects. At 8:00 a.m. on January 14, Quynh Luu police caught two subjects, Nguyen Dinh Hung, born in 1997, and Nguyen Dinh Hoang, born in 1995, residing in Quynh Van commune (Quynh Luu), transporting nearly 5kg of telecommunication copper cores for sale. At the police station, Hung confessed to his illegal acts and said that to steal the telecommunication cable, Hung used a knife to cut it, then gathered it up and burned it to get the copper core inside. After collecting a lot, Hung asked Hoang to sell it in Quynh Xuan ward, Hoang Mai town to get money to spend.

Currently, the police are detaining the subjects to punish them according to the law.
