Arrest of subject using gun to cross forest to Laos to buy drugs for retail sale
(Baonghean.vn) - Having a criminal record for illegal drug trafficking, Lo Van Minh, residing in Tuong Duong district, continued to relapse into drug addiction, frequently going to Laos to buy drugs to sell to addicts. When discovered by the police, Lo Van Minh used "hot" weapons to fight back fiercely.
Through the work of monitoring the area, the detectives of Ky Son District Police discovered in Chieu Luu Commune a strange subject with many suspicious signs of crime related to drugs. Using synchronous professional measures, the detectives determined that the subject was Lo Van Minh (born in 1983), residing in Luu Kien Village, Luu Kien Commune, Tuong Duong District (Nghe An).
He often appears and disappears in the forest area of Hong Tien village, Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, selling drugs to addicts and then disappears into the deep forest.

He also colluded with a trusted addict, allowing this subject to use drugs for free; in return, this addict acted as a lookout for Lo Van Minh every time he made a transaction. To avoid detection by the authorities, Lo Van Minh often sold drugs in the hillside area, and the lookout would be in a higher, easier-to-observe position, promptly signaling Minh to dispose of the evidence and escape if he detected any "movement".
Despite the difficulties, the District Police detectives still persistently lay in wait, watching every move of Lo Van Minh, waiting for the opportunity to solve the case. At around 10:00 a.m. on February 21, taking advantage of the moment when Lo Van Minh was concentrating on trading "goods" with the addict, the guard was negligent in his duties, the Ky Son District Police force raided and caught him red-handed in the act of illegal drug trafficking. Surprised by being discovered, Lo Van Minh did not have time to use his gun, he quickly pulled out a knife and stabbed the detectives indiscriminately in an attempt to fight back and escape.

However, the Ky Son District Police detectives successfully controlled, knocked down, and arrested Lo Van Minh; the lookout escaped into the deep forest. At the scene, the Ky Son District Police seized 3 grams of heroin, 17 synthetic drug pills, 1 homemade gun, and 1 knife.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Ky Son District is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
