Arrest of subject transporting 3 heroin cakes

(Baonghean) - At around 9:00 a.m. on May 1, at Km 54 National Highway 7 in Long Son Commune (Anh Son), Traffic Police Team 1/7, Road and Railway Traffic Police Department coordinated with the anti-drug police force of Nghe An Police to arrest 2 subjects transporting 3 heroin cakes.

Suddenly checking a motorbike with license plate 37Z8-1550 driven by two young men, Lu Thi Minh (born in 1984) and Lu Cao Thuong (born in 1986), both residing in Tam Bong village, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong), traveling from Ky Son to Vinh, the authorities discovered and seized 3 heroin cakes and over 80 million VND in cash.

Initially, the subjects confessed that the heroin was purchased from Laos and was on its way to the South for consumption when they were arrested.

Currently, the incident is under further investigation.
