Large shipment of military weapons seized at Tan Son Nhat airport

The Tan Son Nhat International Airport Customs Branch, Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, said that the unit has just coordinated with the General Economic Security Department (A85) and functional forces under the Ministry of Public Security to conduct a surprise search of a flight from Türkiye to Tan Son Nhat Airport.

During the inspection, the authorities discovered a large quantity of military weapons smuggled into Vietnam from the Czech Republic through Tan Son Nhat International Airport, which were cleverly hidden. The shipment included 94 military pistols and 472 unused ammunition clips.
