Arrest of crystal meth production den

(Baonghean.vn) - On March 30, the Drug Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with Vinh City Police, police of Quang Trung, Vinh Tan, and Hung Binh wards to destroy a large-scale methamphetamine production ring in Vinh City.

At noon on March 30, at two apartments in the B3 apartment building, Quang Trung ward, the police arrested Le Thanh Hai (born in 1971) and Tang Thi Lan Phuong (born in 1974) along with Mr. Tang Ngoc Nuoi (Lan Phuong's father). At the same time, a task force surrounded the house on Van Duc Giai street, Hung Binh ward, and the house in block 12 Quang Trung and in Vinh Tan ward. Here, the police arrested Mr. Le Thanh Minh and his wife - Le Thanh Hai's parents.

Searching the houses, police seized a large quantity of chemicals, dozens of plastic cans, modern medicine and machinery and equipment used to prepare and produce crystal meth.

Initially, at the investigation agency, Le Thanh Hai said that although he had a wife and children in Hanoi, Hai mainly lived with Tang Thi Lan Phuong in Vinh city. For a long time, Hai and Phuong gathered chemicals to produce crystal meth to supply the market.
