Passenger bus carrying 4,000 poultry of unknown origin seized

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 28, while patrolling and controlling, in Dien Hong commune (Dien Chau), the working group of PC 64 Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police inspected and discovered a passenger car with license plate 37B - 00964 owned by Mr. Hoang Dinh Hoan (residing in Do Luong district), carrying 50 cardboard boxes containing 4,000 one-day-old poultry (geese, ducks, chickens).

Poultry of unknown origin was seized by authorities.

Upon inspection, the driver could not present documents proving the origin and declared that the goods were being transported by the vehicle for hire from Phu Xuyen (Hanoi) to Nghe An and Ha Tinh for consumption.

The working group made a record, seized the poultry and handed them over to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for handling according to regulations.
