Catching a battery thief, a police officer was injured
Two young men stole batteries to buy drugs, but when discovered by the police, they fought back fiercely, injuring a police officer.
On March 31, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuy District Police (Can Tho City) is detaining two subjects: Le Minh Hieu and Tran Quang Khoi (both 31 years old; residing in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City).
Previously, at noon on March 30, due to not having money to buy drugs, Hieu invited Khoi to go steal property. Hieu drove a motorbike with Khoi sitting behind him. When they reached the address 6/8, Le Hong Phong Street, Tra Noc Ward, Binh Thuy District, they discovered a truck parked on the side of the road with no one watching, so they had the idea of stealing.
