Emergency arrest of human trafficker to China

On January 24, the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Tay Ninh Province Police urgently arrested 5 subjects related to a human trafficking ring to China.

The subjects include Nguyen Phuoc Thanh (born in 1963, residing in Thanh Dong hamlet, Thanh Tan commune, Tay Ninh city, Tay Ninh province), Pham Thi Hong Thuy (born in 1981, residing in quarter 1, Duong Minh Chau town, Duong Minh Chau district, Tay Ninh province), Nguyen Nhut Tan (born in 1968, residing in Phuoc Long 2 hamlet, Phan commune, Duong Minh Chau district), Pham Cao Quy (born in 1969) and Nguyen Thi Nhung (born in 1971), all residing in quarter 4, Duong Minh Chau town, Tay Ninh province.

Previously, at 8:00 a.m. on January 23, at Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Tay Ninh Province Police caught 3 subjects red-handed while completing exit procedures for 5 girls to be sold to China: Nguyen Ngoc Tho (born in 1981, residing in Ward 4, Duong Minh Chau Town, Tay Ninh Province), Ho Thi Kim Hien (born in 1965, residing in Hamlet 7, Loc Hoa Commune, Loc Ninh District, Binh Phuoc Province), Nguyen Thi Lien (born in 1953, residing in Phuoc Hoa Hamlet, Suoi Da Commune, Duong Minh Chau District, Tay Ninh Province).

Authorities rescued five girls (two from Binh Phuoc province and three from Tay Ninh province) from human traffickers. The seized items included seven passports, three identity cards, five airline tickets, one visa, and many other related items.

According to the initial investigation, in 2011, a subject who wanted to find Vietnamese women to sell to Chinese men to buy as wives contacted Tho, Hien, Lien, Thanh, Thuy, Tan, Quy and Nhung to find gullible girls who wanted a rich life. Each girl introduced would be paid by the leader from 3 to 10 million VND. For each girl successfully sold to China, they would illegally profit from 90 to 120 million VND.

Up to now, 15 girls have been sold to China, of which 10 girls were successfully sold, and 5 girls were arrested while completing procedures./.
