Arrested suspect in murder of 12th grade female student at home

According to initial testimony, suspect Vo Thanh Tan admitted to causing the tragic death of D.TKN. Currently, Tan is being extradited to Da Nang to serve the investigation.

On the morning of June 22, Colonel Nguyen Duc Dung, Chief of Staff and spokesman of Da Nang City Police, confirmed to Tuoi Tre that he had just arrested Vo Thanh Tan - the suspect in the murder of D.TKN (Phuoc Thuan village, Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang City) at 10:00 p.m. on June 17.

Tan was arrested at 9:15 a.m. in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province.

According to Colonel Dung, after committing the crime, Vo Thanh Tan (38 years old, cousin, living near the victim's house) escaped into the forest. Taking advantage of the darkness, Tan found his way down to Highway 1 and then took a bus to escape to Binh Thuan.

Immediately after the incident, the Da Nang City Police Department established a special case, mobilized forces to investigate and at 9:15 a.m. on June 22, Tan was arrested by the police at the gas station km09, quarter 2, Xuan An ward, Phan Thiet city.

According to initial testimony, Tan admitted to causing the tragic death of D.TKN. Currently, Tan is being extradited to Da Nang to serve the investigation.

Previously, on the night of June 17, N. was found dead next to her house with multiple stab wounds, slashes, and a slit throat. N. was a 12th grade student at a high school in Da Nang.

Authorities have identified the suspect as living nearby and related to the victim.

Having feelings for N. but not being reciprocated, the suspect murdered N.
