Arrested suspect in the massacre of 3 family members at an auto repair shop

Regarding the case of 3 people in a family being killed in Hamlet 4, Tam Hiep Commune, Chau Thanh District,Tien Giang provinceAmidst a stir in public opinion, at noon on August 14, the leader of the Criminal Police Department - Tien Giang Provincial Police said that they had just arrested Nguyen Dang Khoa (31 years old, from Tan Nhuan Dong commune, Chau Thanh district, Dong Thap province) who was identified as the suspect in the murder case for investigation.

The police havearrested Khoa at a motorbike repair shop in Thanh Loc commune, Cai Lay district (Tien Giang) - an area bordering Long An province. The Investigation Police Agency - Tien Giang Provincial Police has initiated a murder case and is expanding the investigation.

As for the three deceased victims, after the authorities requested a forensic examination, their families and relatives are organizing the funerals.

As reported, at around 6am on August 13, Mr. Dinh Van Trung (47 years old, residing in Tam Hiep commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province) returned home from taking care of his sick mother at Tien Giang General Hospital and discovered that his wife, daughter and grandchild had died.

At the scene, Mr. Trung's wife, Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, and his daughter, Dinh Thi Ngoc Ngan, were found dead in the house, while his granddaughter, Phan Ngoc Anh (Ngan's biological daughter), was found dead in the garden.

All three victims showed signs of strangulation. Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh (17 years old, daughter of Dinh Van Trung) was lucky to be alive but had her hands and feet tied in the room before being rescued by neighbors.

Through working with witnesses, the investigation agency identified the suspect as Nguyen Dang Khoa - the second husband of Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Ngan. After committing the crime, Khoa fled.

According to Dinh Thi Ngoc Anh, on the night of August 12, there were only 5 people in this house: Mrs. Hoa, Ngoc Anh, Khoa and Ngan's husband and wife, and Ngan's stepchild, Phan Ngoc Anh. At about 3 a.m. on August 13, Ngoc Anh was sleeping when she heard many strange noises in her mother and sister's room, so she ran over to see, but her brother-in-law, Nguyen Dang Khoa, suddenly rushed in, strangled her, and pushed her to the floor, making her unconscious.

When she woke up, Anh found herself tied up in the room and saw Khoa rummaging through her belongings. When Khoa discovered that Anh was awake, he walked over and said, “You’re not dead, so I’ll let you go.” Then he used a rope to tie Anh’s hands and feet. When he heard his brother-in-law start the motorbike and drive away, Anh struggled to crawl to the door, then crawled out into the yard to call for help. The neighbors heard the news and ran to rescue Ngoc Anh and reported it to the local authorities. After killing the victims, the suspect took their phones and many other belongings.

Previously, Dinh Thi Ngoc Ngan worked as a factory worker, got married and had one child.After divorce,Ngan officially married Nguyen Dang Khoa, who worked as a veterinarian and tobacco marketer. Khoa and Ngan lived in the same house with his wife. The couple had many conflicts and Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Ngan asked for a divorce from Khoa.

After the incident, the authorities checked Ms. Ngan's car trunk and discovered a divorce petition that she and the suspect had prepared in advance.
