Foreigner arrested for transporting 6 heroin cakes across the border
At 2:00 p.m. on February 20, at Bo Sap village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district police (Son La province) coordinated with Long Sap National Border Guard Station to successfully break up a drug case, arresting a subject who was illegally transporting 6 heroin cakes.
The arrested subject is Vang Trong Nu, born in 1981, residing in Loong Tong village, Sop Bau district, Hua Phan province, Lao PDR.

The police force made a record of the confiscation of 6 heroin cakes weighing 2.1 kg, 238 grams of opium resin cleverly hidden in the footrest of a motorbike, 1 motorbike, 2 million VND and some related documents.
Through investigation, the subject confessed to buying the above drugs from Xieng Khouang province, Lao PDR and bringing them across the border to Long Luong commune, Van Ho district, Son La province to sell for profit. While transporting them, he was arrested by the police.
