Woman arrested for illegal possession of drugs and firearms

On October 17, Hung Nguyen District Police said they were detaining Nguyen Thi Huong (born in 1974), residing in Vinh Tan Ward, Vinh City, for the crime ofillegal possession of drugs.

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, Hung Nguyen District Police determined that there was a subject residing in Vinh city colluding with a number of subjects in Hung Nguyen district with signs of drug crimes.
After using synchronous professional measures, the police agency determined that Nguyen Thi Huong, registered in Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city, current residence in Hong Son ward, Vinh city, was a subject specializing in supplying drugs to addicts, so a special project was established to combat her.
On October 14, after collecting sufficient documents and evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Nguyen District Police executed an arrest warrant, detained the person, and urgently searched the residence of Nguyen Thi Huong. The seized exhibits included 37.05 grams of heroin, 1 gun, 1 mobile phone, and 1 small scale.

According to the police, Nguyen Thi Huong's methods and tricks of criminal activity were very sophisticated and cunning. To avoid being tracked and detected by the authorities, Huong only sold drugs to people she knew before; the drug buying and selling was carried out right at her house through a small window, Huong did not directly deliver the "goods" to the "customers".
At the police station, through the struggle, the subject confessed to the crime.
Currently, Hung Nguyen District Police are continuing to investigate and expand the case.
