Arresting a group of people who stole buffalo and butchered it to sell during the epidemic season

On September 23, 2021, Que Phong District Police, Nghe An, said that the unit had verified and clarified a group of 05 buffalo thieves.butcherfor sale in Quang River area, bordering Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district and Chau Thang commune, Quy Chau district, Nghe An.

Through management and situation monitoring work on September 20, 2021, Que Phong District Police discovered that in the Quang River area, bordering Muong Noc Commune, Que Phong District and Chau Thang Commune, Quy Chau District, there was a lot of buffalo meat cut up, with organs scattered around. Recognizing signs of buffalo theft and cutting up for meat, the District Police issued a notice and received a complaint from the family of Mr. Truong Van C., residing in Muong Noc Commune, reporting that a buffalo had been stolen.

Considering the complicated nature of the case, the inter-district area, and the many participants, the leaders of Que Phong District Police directed and concentrated forces, and coordinated with Quy Chau District Police, whose Chau Thang commune borders the crime area, to set up a special project to fight.

Through professional measures, the District Police identified 5 subjects residing in Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district and Chau Thang commune, Quy Chau district who committed the above buffalo theft case.

The group of subjects includes: Lu Van Tuan (born in 1986), Cut Van Nhung (born in 2001), Mong Van Chien (born in 1994), all residing in Ha Son village, Muong Noc commune; Lo Van Trung (born in 1986), Vi Van Hoi (born in 1995), all residing in Chieng Ban village, Chau Thang commune, Quy Chau district.

At the police station, the suspects initially denied their crimes. However, through the struggle with the collected evidence, all of them admitted their crimes.

The subjects confessed that on September 19, 2021, taking advantage of the dark and deserted night (the locality is applying Directive 16), and being knowledgeable about the area, the group stole Mr. C's family's buffalo. After committing the crime, the group took the buffalo to the Quang River area to butcher it and sell it for money.
