Recently, according to reports from the people, from around 11pm to 4am, a group of young men often stand in the middle of the road on the border between Dang Son commune and Kha Phong bridge area, Nam Son commune, Do Luong district to block cars and ask for money. The group of young men consists of 4 people, divided into two groups. One group stands to catch cars from Anh Son district, the other group picks them up from Do Luong town. At that time, after seeing cars coming from the far end, one subject runs out to the middle of the road to block the car, the other subject climbs up the door and demands the driver to give 100,000 VND. If they do not follow their orders, they will hear threats and not let the car continue to circulate.

Upon receiving the report, Do Luong District Police coordinated with the 1/7 Traffic Police Patrol Team to ambush and arrest the suspects. Accordingly, at 4:30 a.m. on August 30, the police force arranged two trucks, posing as cargo carriers. When passing the road from Dang Son Commune to Kha Phong Bridge in Nam Son Commune, they were stopped by the suspects. A young man climbed up the door to ask for money. The remaining 3 suspects blocked the front of the vehicle. Quickly, the police force jumped from behind the vehicle to capture the suspect asking for money. It was dark, and the other suspects fled. On August 31, Do Luong District Police urgently arrested the remaining suspects.

At the investigation agency, the subjects admitted their actions. The four subjects are Tran Van Huy (born in 1993), Truong Van Hoa (born in 1995), Le Danh Cuong (born in 1990), all residing in Hamlet 7, Nam Son Commune, Do Luong District and Chu Van Dung (born in 1989) residing in Hamlet 3, Dang Son Commune, Do Luong. On the evening of August 30, at 9:00 p.m., after gathering to drink alcohol at the Nam Son Commune football field, the subjects gathered at the above location to stop cars and ask for money.

Between 11pm and 4am, they stopped about 10 vehicles and extorted 700,000 VND. Do Luong Police are currently expanding their investigation to clarify the subjects of extortion to bring them to justice.
