Teenage group arrested for more than 60 robberies
In just 4 months, Doan and his accomplices committed more than 60 thefts, used money to buy drugs, go to nightclubs and rent motels.
Hai Chau District Police (Da Nang City) said that on August 17, this agency prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Sy Doan (19 years old), Bui Quang Dung (18 years old, both residing in Hai Chau District) and Nguyen Duc Sy (25 years old, residing in Cam Le District) to investigate the act of property theft.
In addition, the investigation agency has handed over four other teenagers to local authorities for management because they are not old enough to be held criminally responsible.

According to initial investigation, Nguyen Sy Doan is the suspected leader of the group of thieves. This young man has been a petty thief since childhood and has a history of drug use when he was under 18. In 2017, Doan and another group committed 30 thefts and were later sentenced to 1 year in prison.
After being released from prison, Doan lured homeless teenagers living at the foot of Tien Son bridge, Tran Thi Ly, to steal people's property.
From April to August 2018, Doan and his accomplices committed more than 60 thefts in Da Nang City, including 28 motorbike thefts. The group sold the stolen property and used the money to buy drugs and have fun.
Hai Chau District Police have recovered 6 motorbikes and are expanding the investigation.
