Car caught transporting 1,000 smuggled pigeons
Quang Ninh Province police have seized a car transporting 1,000 smuggled pigeons without papers or invoices proving their origin through the area.
At 1:30 a.m. on June 3, at km97 + 600 of National Highway 18A, passing through Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City, the central traffic control patrol team (Traffic Police Department - Quang Ninh Police) discovered a truck with license plate 34C - 029.50 driven by Nguyen Van Giang, born in 1974, residing in Tan Cuong, Ninh Giang, Hai Duong, carrying the above smuggled birds.
Through investigation, Giang confessed to buying the birds in Mong Cai city, then transporting them to Hai Duong for sale.
The working group handed over the evidence to the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Team of Ha Long City Police for destruction./.
