10X youth arrested for stealing 1.5 taels of gold, more than 60 million in donations
The two subjects confessed that from June 2018 until now, they have successfully carried out more than 20 temple break-ins together.

According to documents from the police investigation agency, at about 4:30 p.m. on March 12, 2019, Cam Xuyen District Police received a report from Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (born in 1978, residing in Hung Duong village, Cam Hung, Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh) that a thief broke into her house, broke the safe and took 1.5 taels of gold, various types of jewelry, 2 Iphone mobile phones, 1 Nokia phone, some cash, the value of the property was more than 80 million VND.
Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police force quickly arrived at the scene, collecting evidence for investigation. After a period of active investigation, Cam Xuyen District Police clearly identified the two perpetrators of the above theft as Nguyen Van Phu and Le Minh Hoang (born in 2003, both residing in Village 7, Cam Quang Commune, Cam Xuyen District).

On the night of March 15, 2019, the reconnaissance force organized a "loose interception" and arrested Nguyen Van Phu, while Minh fled the area. Immediately after that, the police investigation agency continued to coordinate with the family and local authorities to persuade Le Minh Hoang to come to the police station for questioning.
At the Police Investigation Agency, the subjects bowed their heads and confessed their crimes. During further investigation, the two subjects also confessed that from June 2018 to present, they had successfully carried out more than 20 cases of breaking into temples, destroying donation boxes, and stealing property at temples in Ha Tinh city and Cam Xuyen district. The amount of money stolen from temples and pagodas was up to more than 60 million VND.
